THE PANGOLIN MAN

The Pangolin Man tells the story of local Ugandan Moses Arineitwe; his fight to save the most illegally traded mammal in the world, and to change the minds of the very people who hunt them. With the local people in Uganda primarily hunting pangolins for bushmeat due to financial instability, Moses uses grassroots alternatives such as vegetable growing and sustainable fishing to change the lives of his community. He also creates awareness for pangolins by giving talks in local villages, teaching in schools, and reforesting the land around him. It is a tale of hope and importance, and offers a local, solutions-based conservation story that connects to a larger issue.
